What is Intellirush Inbounder?
Intellirush Inbounder is a real-time tracking application that monitors inbound flights and planes. It can alert you whenever an aircraft crosses into a defined radius around your location or a specific map center.
How does the tracking work?
The app leverages the OpenSky Network API to display real-time aircraft data. When a plane passes through your configured alert radius, the app can trigger notifications and update your App Icon badge to reflect the activity in your area.

What types of vehicles can I track?
You can track flights and planes natively via the OpenSky integration.
Can the app securely run in the background?
Yes. On macOS, you can enable "Launch at Startup" and interact with the app seamlessly from your Menu Bar. The tracker can run quietly and constantly monitor for flights.
What is the "Keep Screen On" (Screen Awake) feature?
The Keep Screen On setting overrides system sleep preferences, preventing your display from dimming or turning off. This is perfect if you want to leave the application open on a dashboard or side monitor.
How does the Dynamic App Icon work?
On macOS, Inbounder can dynamically switch its App Icon based on system appearance (Dark or Light) and display an active notification dot reflecting the exact count of flights actively within your alert radius.
Settings & Preferences
How do I adjust the Alert Radius?
In the Settings view, you can slide the Alert Radius (default is 15 kilometers). You can easily configure whether this radius surrounds your current physical location ("User") or any target "Map Center" you specify.
Can I switch between Metric and Imperial units?
Yes. Open the Settings and change your Unit System. Distances can be displayed in kilometers or miles, and altitude in meters or feet.
Why should I set up my own OpenSky Network credentials?
While basic usage works out of the box, anonymous accounts are restricted to 400 API requests per day. By adding your own OpenSky Client ID and Secret in your Settings menu, you instantly unlock a daily limit of 4,000 queries. This helps prevent tracking interruptions throughout the day as you monitor flights.
How do Notification Filters work?
You have granular control over notifications. You can choose to only be notified when planes breach your tracking Radius. Furthermore, you can set the app to automatically clear history logs over time.
Troubleshooting
Why am I not seeing any flights on the map?
- Verify that Auto Refresh / Tracking is turned on and check the interval rate.
- Ensure that tracking of Flights is actively enabled in your Settings panel.
- Check your OpenSky API limits in the Settings panel! If your daily quota has been exceeded (Rate Limited / HTTP 429), you will temporarily fall back to a community ADS-B tracker. Ensure you connect a registered OpenSky API account.
